Club Philosophy/Mission: “The PHANTASTIX are middle and high school tournament level teams (grades 4 through 11) composed of serious lacrosse players who demonstrate great promise, who desire to improve their playing skills and techniques, and who are committed to the sport of lacrosse. The Club strives to develop character, build confidence, and increase the self-esteem of its members through an instructional and supportive team environment.”
What makes your club special/ what was the inspiration for creating it? “Our Club focus is developing strong lacrosse players and helping them reach their goal of playing at the collegiate level. We pride ourselves in helping our athletes find the right for them both athletically and academically.”
Community Service/Social Justice projects: “This last year our focus was on pediatric cancer and supporting Phantastix youth player Lily Chung as she battled neuroblastoma. We wore socks to raise awareness for pediatric cancer and raised money to help fund research for a cure at CHOP.”
Which age groups and other programs (camps, training, etc.) does your club offer? “We offer grades 4th- 11th, fall and winter clinics that are open to the public. The season runs in the Fall and then in May through July.”
What was the highlight of your club’s summer season? “Our 2021 team was featured on the ESPN “Spotlight Game” in August and defeated a Maryland squad, 12-5.”
