TopLaxRecruits.com Boys’ Rankings: Niskayuna (N.Y.) makes big step with huge win

Nisyakuna (N.Y.) took the biggest step forward in this week’s TopLaxRecruits.com North America Boys’ Rankings.

The No. 12 Silver Warriors defeated former No. 8 Jamesville-Dewitt, 10-9, on the road to improve to 12-0. Lucas Maloney scored four goals as Niskayuna handed the Red Rams (13-1) their first loss in the battle of Upstate Class B powers.

Jordan Evans had four goals, including one that gave Jamesville-DeWitt a 7-6 lead before the Silver Warriors scored three twice to take the lead. Mike D’Amario had three goals and three assists for Niskayuna and Luke Goldstack added two goals and two assists.

Griffin Feiner had two goals and an assist for the Red Rams.

Inter-Ac League title picture

The Inter-Ac League (PA), which decides its champion with regular-season play, comes down to the final week with No. 7 Malvern Prep (6-1 league, 12-1 overall) and No. 11 Episcopal Academy (7-1, 13-4) tied for first place and Haverford School (5-2, 11-6) needing to win over both squads to have a chance to to force a three-way tie.

Malvern Prep plays at Haverford School Tuesday and host winless Germantown Academy on Friday. Episcopal Academy hosts Haverford on Friday and also hosts Penn Charter on Tuesday.

The Inter-ac Invitational is held after the regular season but includes teams from other leagues and crowns a separate champion.
