The Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association Championships will be held at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium on Tuesday (semifinals) and Friday (finals)

The first MIAA A Conference semifinal Tuesday will feature top-ranked Boys’ Latin (seeded No. 1) vs. No. 14 Calvert Hall (fourth seed) at 5 p.m., followed by No. 9 McDonogh vs. No. 6 Loyola Blakefield at 7:30 p.m. Calvert Hall defeated St. Paul’s, 10-8, in the first round and Loyola Blakefield surprised Gilman, 17-14.

Tuesday
A Conference Semi #1: No. 1 seed Boys’ Latin vs. No. 4 Calvert Hall, 5 p.m.
A Conference Semi #2: No. 2 McDonogh vs. No. 6 Loyola, 7:30 p.m.

A Conference Finals 8 p.m.

Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship

No. 1 seed Gonzaga, DC (ranked No. 3, 18-2) will play Paul VI, VA (18-2) tonight at 7 p.m. at the University of Maryland for the
Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship.

St. Ignatius Prep (CA) wins WCAL title

Senior Chad Bell (Boston University) scored the winning goal as No. 8 St. Ignatius Prep (21-1) defeated Bellarmine Prep, 9-8, on Friday to claim the West Catholic Athletic League championship for the fourth straight year.

St. Ignatius has defeated the Bells (16-6) in the final all four years the tourney has been held.
