Dylan Molloy scored 42 seconds into overtime Saturday to lift visiting St. Anthony’s (NY) to a 13-12 thriller over Yorktown (NY) Saturday in a non-league boys’ lacrosse game.
Molloy, who had four goal and two assists, scored after a key groundball by Jon Lamonica off the OT face-off. The win lifted the Friars to 11-3. Yorktown, ranked No. 15 by TopLaxRecruits.com, fell to 12-2.
Brian Prestreau tallied six goals for the Huskers, who sent it into overtime on a goal by Nicholas Mariano (three goals) with 42 seconds left in regulation. That capped a wild comeback from a 12-8 deficit midway through the final period. Prestreau had two of those in that 4-0 run.
Joe Licciardi, David Rivoir and JT Caputo each scored two goals for the Friars, who opened a 6-2 first-quarter lead.
Connor Vercruysse added two goals for Yorktown.
