What will you major in/study? “I am unsure what major I will choose. I have an interest in majoring in Naval Architecture, Engineering, or a foreign language.”
Why did you choose Navy? “I chose the Naval Academy because of a desire to one day serve my country. In addition, USNA is one of the best schools in the country with amazing tradition and provides every student with the attributes to have a career after the military. The lacrosse team also holds much potential with upcoming recruiting classes and great coaches that will help me improve as a player in coach (Rick) Sowell, coach (Ryan) Wellner, and the very knowledgeable former USNA goalie coach (Mickey) Jarboe. The lacrosse team holds a bright future which attracted me to the program.”
What is your HS team’s outlook on the season? “So far this season, the Salesianum lacrosse team has done very well. Right now we are coming to the end of the season and are starting to focus on the State Championship playoffs. Our goal and our intention from day one of the season was to not just earn National attention but to win a State Championship.”
Thank You’s: “First, I would like to thank my Dad who coached me from the start of my lacrosse career and is the reason why I have come as far as I have. I know if he were here today he would be very proud of me and I can not thank him enough for being a great father, coach, mentor, and person.
“I would also like to thank my Mom and the rest of my family for always supporting me in lacrosse, driving me to practice, games, and tournaments, as well as always being there for me.
“In addition, I would like to thank coach (Bob) Healy, coach (Ebe) Helm, and coach (Jason) Christmas for guiding me through the recruiting process. I would also like to thank my Salesianum coaches Shawn Plews, coach Vince Bonaddio, coach Paul McCommons, and coach Colbe Klein for my further development as a Salesianum lacrosse player. Also, I want to thank Duke’s coaches Mike Mackrides, Joe Vetrone, Chris Fallon, Eric Gregg, Billy Mckinney, John Christmas, Ryan Sankey, Brian Ikeda and the rest of the Duke’s LC coaching staff for helping me become more talented and well-rounded as a lacrosse player. Lastly, thank you to Appoquinimink HS coaches Chris Rutter, Thomas Kern, and Dave Fulton for further helping my lacrosse career.
“Thank you to the Middletown, Salesianum, and Duke’s lacrosse community again for being by the side of me and my family, and developing me as a player, student, and person.”
