The Taft School (CT) rising senior midfielder Jack Collins has committed to the admission process of Division I Brown University.

What will you major in/study? Economics

Why did you choose Brown? “I am from Rhode Island and grew up going to Brown Lacrosse games. Brown had always been my dream school because of the schools academic reputation, so it was an easy decision once Coach (Lars) Tiffany offered me the opportunity to play lacrosse there.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Next year will be my second year at The Taft School and I am very excited to have the opportunity to play another year in the league (NE West-1). Every game is very competitive, but our goal each year is to compete for the Founders League Title.”

Thank You: “I had originally attended La Salle Academy in Providence, RI when I tore my ACL mid-way through my Junior season. This forced me to repeat my Junior year at Taft. Although my college recruiting seemed as though it was a long shot my Taft coach, Coach Casey D’Annolfo, and Coach David Jenkins my 3d Lacrosse club coach helped me tremendously and are responsible for my commitment.”
