Eastview Secondary School (Ontario, Canada) rising senior attackman Brodie Stewart has committed to play Junior College lacrosse at CCBC Essex (MD).
Brodie Stewart ledger:

High School: Eastview Secondary School, Barrie, Ontario, Canada
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Attack
College Choice: CCBC Essex
Club Affiliation: Buffalo Lacrosse Academy (Team Buffalo)
Major lacrosse honors: Gait Cup All Star Team 2012
What will you major in/study? Business Administration or Sports Management
Why did you choose the school? “I chose Essex because it was an easier transition for academics and the location being in the hotbed of lacrosse. Also being at Junior College, I have a chance to get my marks up and transfer into the NCAA after my two years at Essex. Meeting Coach (Shawn) Burke and the rest of the coaching staff made my commitment easier because I felt good about the lacrosse program and the coaching staff. Other than just lacrosse I felt like Essex was a great fit for me because of the academic environment and the way they push their students to better themselves and improve their academics in order to move further into a four-year program. Overall, Essex College is a great fit for me.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Presently, I don’t have a lacrosse team at my high school, but I play box lacrosse for the Newmarket Saints Jr. Lacrosse team. Next season I’m looking to advance into a higher junior box lacrosse program, whether it be Jr. B or Jr. A.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank Coach Mike Wright from Buffalo Lacrosse Academy and the rest of the coaching staff that have helped me improve in the past three years in order for me to advance further in my lacrosse career; also my teammates. I certainly thank Coach Burke for giving me this opportunity to play for Essex and continue my education. Most importantly, I thank my mom and dad for putting the stick in my hand at 5 years old, driving me across the map for lacrosse and supporting everything that I’ve done up until now.”
Other schools considered? After my two years at Essex I’m considering University of Tampa Bay and Stevenson University.
