Concord-Carlisle Regional (MA) junior attackman-midfielder and face-off specialist Will Blumenberg has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Colgate Universitry.

Academic honors: High Honor Roll, Academic Excellence Award, Award for Excellence in English. Other: The President’s Volunteer Service Award
Intended college major/study: Liberal arts, major undecided
Why did you choose this school? “I have spent a lot of time at Colgate since my parents are Colgate grads and my sister is a current student. Colgate has a great combination of excellent academics, top-notch lacrosse program, scenic campus, friendly students, and an ideal size. Coach (Mike) Murphy is terrific, which was also an important factor in my decision.”
High school team’s outlook for 2014: “Our team had a solid season with a 13-6 record. We graduated our three starting close defensemen but have several guys who can step up and fill those roles. We return two skilled goalies, some dynamic middies and attackmen, and a talented LSM. I think we will have a promising season if we work hard and work together.”
