Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (PA) rising senior Tom Hogan has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Hartford.
Tom Hogan ledger:

High school: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, Philadelphia, PA
Graduation year: 2014
Position: Defenseman
College choice: University of Hartford
Club affiliation: Twist
Major lacrosse honors, camps: Top 205, Hot Beds, Varsity letters for 4 years, Twist Black, Prep School Lacrosse Showcase.
What will you major in/study: Business
Why did you choose school: “I chose Hartford for it’s phenomenal lacrosse program as well as it’s challenging academic curriculum. After my visit I knew right away that Coach (Peter) Lawrence would be a great coach that would help me reach my full potential on and off the field. Academically, Hartford has an awesome Business program that will later help me succeed in my future endeavors. Overall, Hartford was the perfect fit for me as a student-athlete.”
Outlook for your high school team: “After a very successful year under Coach Mike DelGrande, SCH is looking to continue our success into my senior year. The Inter-Ac is one of the most challenging leagues in the country and it shows every game. I think with help from underclassmen sparking the offense and more experienced upperclassmen leading the defense we have a very good chance to make waves in the Inter-Ac.”
Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for supporting me through the whole college process. Without them I would have never been as successful as I am today. I can’t say thank you enough for their dedication to making sure I am getting the best education and reaching my full potential.
“I would like to thank my coach Mike DelGrande (SCH) for pushing me everyday to be the best I can be. Without him I never would have been as dedicated to the game as I am today. His guidance to find the right college for me really made my decision much easier.
“Thank you to Coach Harry Kleintz (SCH/Twist) and Coach Dan Cameron (HH) for getting me started in the game of lacrosse. Coach Kleintz has been a great coach and role model for me since the beginning of my lacrosse years.
“I would also like to thank my three siblings for supporting me by showing up at every game no matter how far. It has given me a lot of confidence to do what I do on a daily basis and I can’t be thankful enough.
“Special thanks to Coach Billy McKinney (PC) for his help multiple times a week. Billy has spent many hours working with me to teach me the intricacies of lacrosse.
“The recruiting process was a very drawn out process for me and I could have not done it without the help of the Twist organization. Coach Devlin, Coach Serio, and Coach Flago have been a major help to me these past few summers.
“Finally, I would like to thank the Paci family. The Paci’s have been like a second family to me. Mrs. Karen Paci and Mr. John Paci have guided me in the right direction every since I was a kid. Nick, Michael, and Julia have also been like another set of siblings to me.
