Ambrose told the Detroit News (click here for story) that after 21 seasons, “there’s a time and place for everything. I’m going to step down. It’s a tough decision. It’s my only coaching job. I can pretend that it’s not emotional but it is.”

Ambrose said he was moving to suburban New York City for business purposes.

Brother Rice has won every Michigan Division 1 title since 2005, the first season the Michigan High School Athletic Association sponsored the sport. Brother Rice has not lost to a Michigan school since 2002.
