The TopLaxRecruits.com Preseason New England Boys’ Rankings (Last year’s records in parenthesis):
1. Darien (CT) 20-3
The Blue Wave has won 11 Connecticut state titles since 1997 under coach Jeff Brameier. Last year they won the Class L (large school) crown.
2. Brunswick School (CT) 14-4
The Bruins – who open Tuesday vs. West Linn (OR) – are again a New England West I favorite.
3. Deerfield Academy (MA) 9-7
The Big Green has a strong mix of returnees and PGs and will challenge in the New England West 1.
4. Avon Old Farms (CT) 15-2
The Winged Beavers finished undefeated in league play (7-0) in repeating as Founders League champions last year.
5. Lincoln-Sudbury (MA) 20-1
The Warriors won the Massachusetts Division 1 championship last year.
6. Ridgefield (CT) 17-6
The Tigers reached the Connecticut Class L finals in 2015.
7. Westminster (CT) 10-4
The Martlets should challenge the top New England I teams.
8. Greenwich (CT) 16-5
The Cardinals reached the Connecticut Class L semifinals in 2015.
9. Medfield (MA) 21-2
The Warriors won the Massachusetts Division II championship last year.
10. New Canaan (CT) 18-4
The Rams won the Connecticut Class M state championship in 2015.
