Monday’s boys’, girls’ results: Ward Melville (N.Y.) routs No. 3 Smithtown West (NY), 13-4

Christian Mazzone had four goals and two assists and Jack Bruckner added four goals while Dan nemirov had 11 saves as host Ward Melville routed Smithtown West, 13-4, Monday in a key Long Island Suffolk County Division I game.

The Patriots, ranked No. 17 by TopLaxRecruits.com, improved to 7-0. They have not won a game by fewer than eight goals this year and host No. 9 Garden City on Saturday. Smithtown West, ranked No. 3, falls to 7-1.

Patrick O’Brien scored two goals for the Bulls.

Chaminade (NY) 9, St. John the Baptist (NY) 3

Ryan Lukacovic collected four goals and an assist to lead the No. 2 Flyers (7-0) in CHSAA action.

Moorestown (NJ) 9, Bridgewater-Raritan (NJ) 5

Michael Handlan scored five goals and Matt Olbrich had a goal and two assists while winning 12 of 17 face-offs as the host Quakers improved to 5-0.

Dan Willis made eight saves in goal for Moorestown and Drew Hillman added a goal and an assist.

Brighton (UT) 16, Bingham (UT) 4 Freshman attackman Bubba Fairman scored six goals, and brother Luke, a junior attackman, added two goals and five assists.

The Bengals ran their record to 7-2 and are currently ranked #2 in High School Division 1.

Girls

Moorestown (NJ) 18, Northern Burlington (NJ) 2

Marie McCool had two goals and two assists and Sydney Dalmass added two goals and an assist as the No. 3 Quakers (6-0) cruised.

Sayville (NY) 5, Bayport-Blue Point 4 (NY). OT

Taylor Mills scored the game-winning goal with 39 seconds left in the second overtime to lift the 17th-ranked Golden Flashes (7-1).

Mt. Sinai (NY) 20, Rocky Point (NY) 9

Sydney Pirreca scored seven goals and added two assists to lead the No. 11 Mustangs (6-0) to the victory.
