Jason Alessi collected an amazing six goals and six assists as the Brother Rice boys’ lacrosse team defeated Forest Hills Eastern-Northern, 14-10, at East Grand Rapids High School Saturday in the Division I championship game to claim its 11th straight State title.

Sergio Perkovic contributed three goals and Jerry Dietz added two while Chris Lievois had nine saves for the Warriors, who finished 18-5 and went undefeated in games against Michigan teams.
FHEN (15-8) took a 3-0 lead and led, 6-5, before Brother Rice scored four unanswered goals to end the first half. Peter Fisk led Forest Hills with four goals and Connor Sullivan added a pair.
Brother Rice has won all nine Division I titles (see history below) and has not lost a game in-state for 11 years.
