Mineola (NY) 2022 midfielder Maggie McMahon of Team Elevate Lax has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at University of Louisville.

Academic honors: Athletes Helping Athletes; High Honor Roll; P.E Leadership; National Honor Society

Why did you choose University of Louisville, Women’s D1? “I chose Louisville for many reasons. After speaking to the coaching staff I felt like we already had a connection. Louisville has the education and athletics I have always wanted. I’m eager to compete in the ACC alongside the Cardinals and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “I wanted to thank Team Elevate Lacrosse, especially Coach Dave, Coach Vic, Coach Cathi, and Coach Katie for supporting and for the past 7 years and helping me to be the player and person I am today. I also wanted to thank my high school coach, Coach Henton for guiding me, and my parents and two older brothers who are my role models. Lastly, I wanted to thank Ava Fitzgerald (Instagram handle: @afitzgerald) who is an amazing person and trainer and I couldn’t have gone this far without.”
