Methacton (PA) 2022 goalie Mackenzie Clark has made a commitment to the admissions process to play Division I lacrosse at Cornell University.

Mackenzie Clark profile:

Mackenzie Clark

High school: Methacton (Audubon, PA)

Grad year: 2022

Position: Goalie

College committed to: Cornell University (admissions process)

Club team: Mesa Girls Lacrosse

Lacrosse honors: All-Star team at the 2019 Maryland Lacrosse showcase, WPLL Futures National Championship Summit roster

Academic honors: Weighted GPA of 100.888%, Distinguished Honor Roll, Student Ambassador

Why did you choose Cornell University, Women’s D1? “I chose to play at Cornell because the program is very focused on team culture. This is very important to me because not only will I be with this team for four years, but for the rest of my life as well. I also like how diverse the education it is; especially because I don’t know exactly what I want to do.”

Is there anything else you would like to share? “I would like to thank everyone that supported me in my lacrosse journey. Thank you to my parents and friends for encouraging me in everything I do. Special thanks to all of my coaches. Coach Tom Dwyer, thank you for inviting me to play for Mesa and always pushing me past my limits. Coach Laurie Markle, thank you for showing me how much potential I have and providing me with the means to reach that potential. Thank you to Coach Mongo who helped me to substantially improve my skills through his dodging and shooting clinics with some of the best girls in our area. Coach Dave Page, thank you for being my goalie coach and helping me to improve all the skills needed in order to succeed in this position. And finally, thank you to my first ever goalie coach, Shelby Iezzi, for inspiring me to play and helping me to build my foundation from which to grow. “

What other colleges did you consider? Harvard, Princeton, Boston College, and Tuffs
