IMG Nationals, a lacrosse national championship series, has announced the first wave of teams confirmed to participate in the inaugural year-end event at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 22-24. Nearly 30 teams from across North America have qualified for the event to contend for the U15, U17 and U19 national titles.
Featured teams include: Decatur Tomatoes (Decatur, Ga./U19), Tampa Fire Gold (Tampa, Fla. U19), Team Louisiana (Mandeville, La./U19), Thunder Tribe (Six Nations Iroquois Tribe/U17), Atlanta Crush (Atlanta, Ga./U17), Six Nations (Ontario, Canada/U17), Tampa Fire Silver (Tampa, Fla./U17), Atlanta Crush (Atlanta, Ga./U15), Tampa Fire Red (Tampa, Fla./U15), Team Carolina Lite (Charlotte, N.C./U15), Team Crease (Atlanta, Ga./U15), Team Minnesota (Bloomington, Minn./U15) and TNT Red (Plano, Texas/U15).
For competing teams, top college coaches and media from around the nation will be present at the national championship event, granting players a unique opportunity for exposure. The event will also feature live internet streaming from inside the newly completed IMG Academy Stadium, a state-of-the-art, 5,000 seat facility that opened in August 2013.
Each divisional winner of the IMG Nationals will not only be crowned national champions, but will also receive a free week of lacrosse training at IMG Academy.
