Why did you choose Notre Dame? “When looking for a college after going to an all girl’s Catholic high school, finding a school with a strong religious foundation was important to me. Notre Dame is a perfect fit. Also, I am interested in studying business and am currently in my fourth year of Chinese. With Notre Dame’s outstanding business school, I could not have made a better choice. Last but not least, the Notre Dame women’s lacrosse program is like a family, which I love. Coach (Christine) Halfpenny and Coach Jill Byers are both very talented coaches and former players, not to mention amazing role models.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Currently, my team is the #1 seed in the North District for playoffs. We anticipate making a strong run for the Texas State title!”
Thank You: “First of all, I would like to thank my father and coach, Brent Blum, for working with me tirelessly on my goalkeeping skills. Also, my High School coach, Lori Wales, for helping to develop my love of the game. Finally, I would like to thank current USA goalie Megan Huether for all her help. I would not be where I am without these supportive coaches in my life.”
Other schools considered: Northwestern, Washington & Lee
