Torrey Pines (CA) junior attack/midfielder Kacey McKinnon has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina.

Major lacrosse honors: Heather Leigh Albert National Schoolgirl MVP Finalist (National Tournament 2012), Under Armour West Underclassman elite team 2012, first team All League (Avocado League), league leader in points in 2012 (1st in assists, 2nd in goals), All-Tournament team at Sandstorm Lacrosse Festival 2012, 2nd Team All League in 2011 as a freshman, CIF Division 1 Champions 2011.
What will you major in/study? Journalism/Communications.
Why did you choose UNC? “It was the best fit for me academically and athletically. When I was there I had ‘that feeling’ everybody talked about and I knew it was the right choice.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We want to win CIF.”
