Lexi Cheetham

High School: Lake Oswego High School, Lake Oswego, Oregon (South or Portland)

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Attack-Midfield

College Choice: University of Louisville

Club Affiliation: West Coast Starz 2014

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: 2011 and 2012 Oregon State Champions, 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-League, Under Armour Underclass Team West 2011, North Star Invitational Top 150, Adrenaline Top 150

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school?
“Louisville is very much like Portland, Oregon. The city is very fun and full of great people! The minute I stepped on campus I felt so welcome and at home with all the players. I chose University of Louisville because of the amazing coaching staff, outstanding facilities and the family atmosphere! Coach Kellie Young’s philosophy of ‘work hard on and off the field and we are a family at The Ville’ made my decision an easy one. I also attended a football game on my visit and fell in love with how much support and love the fans showed for the Cardinals!”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season?
“My high school team is my second family and always will be. Our team is going for a three-peat State Championship this year. We must play great team lacrosse and work hard all season long! Go Lake Oswego Lakers!”

Thank Yous: “I believe playing any D1 sport in college is a privilege. I would not be where I am today without the support of my family. I can’t thank my parents enough for being there with me during the recruiting process this past summer/fall. I would like to thank my high school coaches, Lauren Anderson and Amy Einstein, for believing in me and demanding my very best every season. I owe a big thanks to my club Coaches Sarah Spillett, Kaitlin Swagart and Casey Rector for giving me the opportunity to play with the West Coast Starz 2014 Team the last two years.”

Other schools considered?
Marquette, BU, USC, Colorado
