Why did you choose Cornell? “After I visited Cornell earlier this fall and had the opportunity to meet the team, Coach (Jenny) Graap, Coach (Suzie) Friedrich and Coach (Karrie) Moore, I knew I wanted to be a part of the Big Red. The players were very welcoming and Coach Graap, along with the entire women’s lacrosse staff were helpful and encouraging. I really appreciated Coach Graap’s enthusiasm and positive attitude. She believed in me from the start. The incredible campus, combined with the endless outstanding academic opportunities all drew me in. I am excited to be a part of the Cornell women’s lacrosse program and I am looking forward to all that Cornell has to offer.”
Outlook for your high school team: “Harriton made it to the PIAA State Quarter finals two years in a row and I have even higher expectations for 2013. With a talented returning group of players, strong freshmen and a lot of hard work, I believe that we can make a run for the state title. Coach (George) Dick is the hardest working coach I know and he has built a solid program that is definitely ready to achieve major goals in 2013.”
Thank Yous: “The recruiting process has been challenging and strenuous and I could not have done it without help along the way. I want to thank Coach Graap for her time, her honesty and her support. I also want to thank Coach Dick. He has been there from the beginning and he has been such a strong mentor and motivator. Coach has encouraged me to work hard and never give up. Thank you Coach D for your unconditional belief in me as a person and an athlete.
“To my parents and my brother, I want you to know that without you, none of this would be possible. You were supportive and involved throughout this process and I really appreciate that. I also want to thank Coach King, Coach Shap, Mr. Ferguson, Coach Duck and Coach Pops for all of your help and guidance. GO BIG RED!”
