Darien High School (CT) rising junior midfield-defense Caroline Benitez has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Florida.

Major lacrosse honors: MSG ALL-CT-Second Team, FCIAC/State Champions, Varsity letter freshman/sophomore year, Attended Elite 120, scored top 5 in 40 yard dash, scored Top 6 in 5-10-5 Shuttle.
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose Florida? “The first time I visited Florida, I fell in love with the school, the environment, and the coaching staff. Florida has great academics, great school spirit, and an extremely competitive program, which makes it a perfect fit for me.”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “This past season was amazing for Darien. We had an undefeated regular season, won County’s and States, however, we did have one 2 OT loss to an out-of-state team.
“Although we lost a few valuable seniors, we have great upperclassmen that should dominate next season.”
