BC High advances to the quarterfinal vs. the winner of today’s matchup between St. John’s Prep (No. 6 seed) and Andover (No. 11).
BC High had trailed, 6-3, at halftime of Friday’s game, but later sent it into overtime with 16 seconds left in regulation on a goal by freshman A.J. Kucinski.
The game-winner was set up by a face-off win by Billy Breen. Friedman finished with three goals and Pat Cronin added three goals and Pete Timmins had a goal and three assists.
It was only two weeks earlier that Duxbury had its two-year win streak against Massachusetts teams snapped when the Green Dragons fell to Needham, 6-4.
