Friday’s boys’, girls’ results: McDonogh tops Loyola Blakefield in MIAA (with Kudda.com replay)

Connor Young scored three goals, Brinton Valis scored twice while Trey McGee added a goal and three assists to lead McDonogh School (MD) to an 8-6 victory over host Loyola Blakefield (MD) Friday in an MIAA contest.

McDonogh (7-3) evened its MIAA record at 1-1.

Loyola, ranked no. 18 b TopLaxRecruits.com coming into the week, falls to 0-2 in the MIAA and 7-4 overall.

Tim Nordbrook had two goals and an assist for Loyola.

St. Paul’s (MD) 10, Archbishop Spaulding (MD) 7

Mikey Wynne and Henry Riehl each had two goals and an assist and A.J. Barretto made 11 saves for the No. 3 Crusaders (11-1, 1-1) in the MIAA win.

Will Hirschmann had two goals and Spencer Talbot made 18 saves for Spaulding.

Boys’ Latin (MD) 14, Severn (MD) 6

Shack Stanwick pumped in six goals to lead the No. 1 Lakers (11-0, 2-0) in the MIAA.

Ryan Lamon had two goals for Severn (9-4, 1-1).

Gilman 16, Mount St Joseph 9

Zeke Morrill had three goals and two assist for the No. 7 Greyhounds (7-1, 2-0) in the MIAA victory.

Clay Kirby and Michael LeClair each had three goals for the Gaels (8-5, 0-2).

Calvert Hall (MD) 13, St. Mary’s (MD) 5

Jordan Germerhausen had three goals and an assist to lead the No. 12 Cardinals (6-2, 2-0) in the MIAA contest.

St. Mary’s (5-3, 1-1) got two goals from AJ Ellis.

Smithtown West (N.Y.) 11, Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.) 5

Patrick O’Brien had two goals and four assists and Chrisitan Zawadzki had three goals and an assist as the No. 4 Bulls (7-0) coasted in Division I action.

McCallie (TN) 13, Milton (GA) 10

Chad Toliver had the game-winner for McCallie (11-1) in its victory at defending state champion Milton (10-3).

Girls
St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) 5, Bryn Mawr (MD) 3

The host and No. 18 Friars (3-1) got two goals from Maggie Bill to take the victory over the No. 5 Mawrtians (8-3).

Mount Hebron (MD) 22, Hammond (MD) 3

Sam Brookhart had two goals and five assists and Kieran Kelleher had three goals and three assists to lead the No. 9 Vikings (7-1).

Marriotts Ridge (MD) 22, Reservoir 2 (MD)

Zoe Stukenberg had four goal and three assists to lead the No. 10 Mustangs (6-0).
