The event will be held from 2-6 pm (seminars from 2:30-5 p.m. with question-and-answer session) on March 30th at the Huntington Hilton, 598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, N.Y., 11747. Click here for registration.

All gross proceeds from the event ($25 per family) will go to the Wounded Warrior Fund.

The Recruited Athlete’s Distinct Advantage

In 2004, William Bowen (the former president of Princeton) and two other researchers persuaded 19 elite colleges – including Harvard, Middlebury and Virginia – to let them analyze their admissions records. They found, holding SAT scores equal, that a recruited athlete was 30 percentage points more likely to be admitted than a non-athlete.

Likewise, according to The New York Magazine, “Recruited athletes have a distinct advantage in the admissions process,” and “athletes have an acceptance rate to the Ivies at well over twice the rate of other students.”

Knowledge is power: As the parent of a recruited athlete, you only get one chance to get this right. Come hear what the experts have to say!
