Why did you choose Bates? “I chose Bates College because of its great reputation both on the field and in the classroom. After contemplating my options for quite some time, I came to the conclusion that Bates would provide me with the best opportunity to fulfill by goal of receiving the best education available while fulfilling my dream of winning a national championship.”

HS team’s 2017 highlights: “This year we came up just short of winning our group championship and advancing to the Tournament of Champions. We lost to our foe Delbarton, who we had defeated earlier this past season so it was definitely a tough thing to swallow. I still haven’t watched the film from that game cause it continues to sting so bad. On the bright side however, this was truly a remarkable season for us. We won our fifth Essex County tournament in a row, were the only team to defeat Delbarton, and made a great run in the state playoffs including statement win against Bergen Catholic. Moving forward we have a lot of great talent coming in, as well as a lot of returning starters so we plan on returning to the State Championship and advancing to our first Tournament of Champions in school history in 2018.”

Thank You: “First I would like to thank my coaches, Dave Giarrusso (Seton Hall Prep) and Chris Roy (Leading Edge Elite), for molding me into the player and person that I am today. I would also like to thank my trainer, Drew Rosenzweig, and everyone along the way who challenged me to be tougher both mentally and physically. Last, I would like to thank my parents and the rest of my family for supporting me through this long and grueling journey – I know it wasn’t fun, but I made it and I couldn’t of done it without your support.”

Other schools considered: Salisbury, Connecticut College, Drexel, Vassar, Middlebury, Stevens, Holy Cross, Amherst, and Franklin and Marshall.
