Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS) of Missouri rising sophomore midfielder Harry Wellford has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Virginia.

Why did you choose school? “I chose UVA because of the great academics, the opportunity to play lacrosse at the highest level (ACC), and the coolest lacrosse setting for players and student fans in the country. The final factor was the opportunity to play for Dom Starsia, the winningest college lacrosse coach in history and a great person.”
Looking back at 2014 season and looking ahead to 2015: “This past high school lacrosse season was amazing! Our team was so close it worked like a family. Everyone contributed in the success of our season from the goalies to the attack. We ended up winning the state and finished the year ranked top 10 in the Midwest and top 50 in the country. This next season should be very successful; we return most of our starters and the upcoming seniors are great leaders.”
