DALLAS, TX – Brandon Meaux, is the kind of player every coach loves to have on their team. He does it all. Meaux shares the ball on attack, he makes good decisions on when to shoot, he can hustle, and Meaux follows direction.
Plus the Episcopal School of Dallas (TX) sophomore attackman loves to play the game, whether it’s raining or extremely hot.
“I’m having some fun and getting a lot of looks,” said Meaux an All-Star selection from last weekend’s C2C Spotlight. “With the skill sessions I was trying to get better, but also at the same time get some looks so I can play college lacrosse.”
During the two-day event the college coaches ran line drills, and did group instruction and gave players an idea of how to play the college game.
Meaux helped ESD finish 18-3 last year as a freshman starter on a team with many acclaimed offensive talents. This year he wants to take on greater responsibility.
“I started last year and we’ll have two senior attackmen this year so we’ll have the same guys on attack,” said Meaux. “I want to become more of an initiator from behind. Last year with (senior standout) Sam Romano and Nakeie Montgomery (Duke commit), I was more of a finisher.”
“I’m definitely interested in some Ivy League schools,” said Meaux on where he would like to play college ball. “Georgetown and Princeton are at the top of my list right now.”
