The Blake School (MN) sophomore defenseman Kai Storrs has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Maryland.

Club Affiliations: Minnesota Elite Lacrosse, Lakeshore Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors, All-Star teams, Camps, Showcases: 2011 Denver Pioneers team tourney All-Star team;
2011 Notre Dame All-Star team; 2012 Adrenaline Challenge HS All-Star team; 2012 Battle of the Hotbeds All-Star team; UNC Team Camp All-Star team, 2012; Varsity Player in 8th Grade

Academic honors: HARRT award, 2011 (Honesty, Acceptance, Responsibility, Respect, Trust)

What will you major in/study? Mechanical engineering

Why did you choose the school? “I chose it because the school has both a great engineering program and a great coaching team for their lacrosse program.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We are young, and we have a new coach who I am looking forward to working hard for and learning from him.”
