The Governor’s Academy (MA) sophomore defenseman Ryan Caley has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Colgate University.
Ryan Caley ledger:

High school: Governors Academy, Newbury, Mass., (North of Boston), formerly Beverly High, Mass.
Year of graduation: Class of 2015
Position: Defense
College choice: Colgate University
Club affiliation: Top Gun Fighting Clams
Lacrosse honors: King of the Hill All-Star, Brine National Lacrosse Classic, 2011 Team New England.
Intended major/field of study: Economics or Marketing
Why did you choose Colgate? “I choose Colgate because it was the place that felt like the best fit for me out of all my visits. Coach (Mike) Murphy is a great coach who I see as a person who can lead Colgate to a national championship run very soon. Also the mid-size school appealed to me more then the big state schools.”
HS team’s outlook: “Governors looks to be very strong this year. Everyone is eager to get on the field and get the season going and we are loaded with talent at both ends of the field.”
Thank Yous: “I would want to thanks all my coaches throughout my time in lacrosse. Especially Tom Lally, who was my youth coach from 9 years old through 8th grade. He was my greatest lacrosse influence that I have had.”
Other schools considered: Princeton, UNC, UMass
