What will you major in/study? Undecided and interested in business, marketing, communications and sports management.
Why did you choose Jacksonville? “I chose Jacksonville University for a number of reasons. I felt a great connection with Coach Guy Van Arsdale. I think he is a great person and will be an awesome coach to play for. Additionally, I really liked the school and the fact that they offer a sports management major. On top of that, playing in a warm climate in February and March is very appealing to me!”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Last year our team was undefeated all season, but finished the season with a loss in the State Championship game. I don’t think any of us who are returning have forgotten what that felt like. We have a really tough schedule this year, but I hope that it will prepare us for the playoffs.”
Thank You: “My parents have been amazing supporters of my lacrosse career and have helped me to achieve my goals. My Dad has been a huge influence on me as a lacrosse player. He played at Ohio State and is still in the Buckeye record books. He coached high school lacrosse in central Ohio for 17 years and even coached my high school head coach.
“He has taught me so much about the game…not just about the Xs and Os but also about the history of the sport. He’s introduced me to some amazing people and programs through lacrosse, such as Greg Bice, Anthony Kelly and Matt Lee. These guys are the founders of Resolute Lacrosse, which is my club team. The motto at Resolute is Never Stop, Never Quit, Be Resolute. I try to live by this motto and apply it to everything in my life.
“Also, Greg Bice is on the board of directors for Lacrosse the Nations, a non-profit organization that uses lacrosse as a tool to raise money for less fortunate kids. Greg is one of the coolest people I have ever met. Finally, Joel Zalesky, who just got picked up by the Hamilton Nationals, has been a huge influence on me this past year.
“Thank you for your never-ending encouragement and support.”
