Boys’ recruit: Bristol Central (CT) senior defenseman Cahill to play at Post University

Bristol Central (CT) senior defenseman Joe Cahill will play Division II lacrosse at Post University (CT), a first-year program that began practice this year and opens NCAA play in 2014.

Position: Defense

College choice: Post University

Major lacrosse honors, camps and showcases:
Named Captain on Bristol’s first varsity lacrosse team; Nominated to play in 2013 CT Senior All Star game

What will you major in/study:
Computer Science

Why did you choose school: “Post has an exciting start up program in Division II for next year and a Coach (Jim) Griffin, who has an excellent record and has been recruiting some talented players. We expect to go places fast! I also like the small campus and great academics at the school.”

Looking back at your high school team’s season: “Lacrosse was a new varsity sport at Bristol Central this year and I can only see the team getting better with experience.”

Other comments: “I can’t wait to get on campus and start playing.”
