1/17/2023 Ava Schulties a stand out 2024 lacrosse player for The Benjamin School and Florida Select has committed to play D1 and study business at Lehigh University.
Schulties was named High School All-County & Second Team All-State as a sophomore. In the offseason, she plays year round for Florida Select lacrosse and attended UA150 & Juniors Open & was named an all star at Elite 12, National Cup, and MVP camp. In the classroom Ava has a 4.4 GPA, High Honor Roll Dean List with AP Classes. With a stellar sophomore campaign in the classroom and in recruiting camps across the country, Ava had several options like Brown, UMass-Amherst & Villanova but ended up going all in on Lehigh.
Why did you choose Lehigh?: I wanted high academics with a strong lax program, medium size school with a reputable name in the NE & if the campus was beautiful then that was an added bonus…& I found it all at Lehigh!
Who do you wish to thank for helping you achieve this honor?: I would be nowhere if it wasn’t for my parents support & letting me follow my “lax” dreams! I have an awesome family & fortunate to have my parents by my side along the way (even with 3 other siblings). Secondly I want to thank all my recreational, club & high school coaches! They made it fun & looking back I had some really awesome coaches since age 4 or 5 years old – lastly my teammates for making this journey worth it all. I also have to thank God for watching over me all these years too!
