Halo LAX organized the National D3 Showcase for high school lacrosse prospects and college coaches seeking college admissions and athletic recruitment opportunities. Directed by Dave Webster, head men’s lacrosse coach at Dickinson College, the National D3 Showcase featured over 80 prospects and 30 college coaches at Iron Peak Sports & Event in Hillsborough, N.J. this past weekend.
Athletes participated in small group and individual position drills with college coaches before playing in games.
“There are not enough genuine opportunities for recruits to interact on the field with college coaches,” Webster said. “This is at the heart of the Halo LAX National D3 showcase experience! Small numbers of high school players working directly with college coaches and then competing is what makes this event so unique and so much fun. College coaches really enjoy this environment and the players have been overwhelmingly positive and grateful for this format and style.”
Forty players were selected by coaches to play in the Fab 40 All Star game and have qualified for an invitation to attend the College Invitational later this year. The College Invitational is a collection of the top NCAA D3 prospects in the nation.
Halo LAX launched in 2020 as the first events brand of the Sports Facilities Companies with a mission to grow the sport of lacrosse and provide exceptional events.
